Are you dog friendly?

Yes! 🐾 We welcome one well-behaved dog per cottage.Please be aware that, due to our free-range chickens and neighbouring sheep farms, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times while on the property.We ask for a £50 damage deposit per dog, which is fully refundable after your stay.

What's included in the price?

Your stay includes everything you need for a comfortable visit:
Bedding and towels (including kitchen towels)
Electricity
Free use of the sauna, stream plunge pool, laundry room, and games room
Dishwasher tablets
Dishwashing liquid, sponge, and kitchen sponge+cloth
Salt and pepper
2 toilet rolls per toilet
1 kitchen roll

How much is the deposit?

The deposit is £150 per cottage.

When is the balance due?

Accepted Answer

6 weeks before arrival. You will receive a reminder email 7 weeks before arrival if you still have an outstanding balance.

Do I need travel insurance?

Accepted Answer

This is up to you however we would strongly advise it in case you have to cancel for any unforeseen reasons or there are any ferry or travel disruptions.

How far is the ferry terminal?

The ferry terminal in Brodick is 15 minutes drive. Lochranza ferry terminal is 35 minutes drive.

How far in advance can I book ferry tickets?

The summer timetable (Easter-October) is normally released in February and the winter timetable usually released in September. Keep checking the Calmac website for updates!

Where is the nearest pub?

The closest pub is at the Kinloch Hotel in Blackwaterfoot, just 2.5km from us.

Question 9

Where is the nearest supermarket?

Accepted Answer

There is a well stocked village shop (A&C Cameron's), a bakery and a butchers in Blackwaterfoot or the nearest supermarket is in Brodick where you will find 'The Big Co' just a 100m or so before the ferry terminal or 'The Wee Co' opposite the Chinese Takeaway by the putting green. Both are open until 10pm 7 days a week.

Can I get a supermarket delivery?

Unfortunately we don't have such a service in Arran! The 'second best' option we can advise is to do a 'click and collect' order at Asda in Ardrossan or Morrisons in Troon for collection before you get on the ferry.

Is the Wifi good/reliable?

Yes! Our wifi is generally very good with a stable connection and suitable for general use, streaming TV or anyone working while staying with us
